Q. Can I get my restricted licence as soon as I have my learners. A. Yes. It is possible by attending one of our CBTA-R courses and passing the assessment. You must have your motorcycle learner licence. A paper temporary learner licence is acceptable. Q. Can I bring my own motorbike to training? A. Yes, you can bring your own bike provided it meets the conditions of the NZTA list of approved motorcycles (LAMS) list. You can find details here : LAMS list Q. How many students will be there? A. Learn to ride and CBTA-R are usually one-to-one training. For the Basic Handling Skills test if you already know how to ride you may be asked to join other student(s) later in the day to do your test. Q. How much does it cost? A. The cost for courses varies depending on your previous experience. We provide you with training to suit your needs. Please use the contact form, email or phone for details Q. What ID is acceptable to bring on the day? A. For Basic Handling Skills : A driver licence (where the candidate holds other classes of licence) or passport. For CBTA-R and CBTA-F a valid photo driving licence. If you are presenting a temporary paper licence then you must also provide a valid form of photo ID such as a passport. Q. What do I need to wear to training? A. Bring your own helmet and gloves if you have them. If not, we can provide them, please let us know which size helmet you require. You must wear long trousers and sleeves and sturdy boots or shoes. Bring a waterproof jacket if it looks like rain. |
